Top 10 Cars for Speeding Tickets

luxury sedan

Wondering why you keep getting tagged for speeding? Think it’s something you’re doing to attract the wrong kind of attention—or maybe you’re just unlucky that way?

Believe it or not, there’s actually a pattern to which cars get ticketed and how often. Though you’d probably expect sports cars to get the bulk of the speeding tickets, luxury performance cars actually outpace them when it comes to getting written up by police.

Put the two together and watch out!

The top ten most-ticked-for-speeding list, recently published by CarsDirect.com, might surprise you. Take a look and this might explain why you seem to be one of the “unlucky” ones.

  1. Mercedes-Benz SL 500 Convertible
  2. Toyota Camry Solara
  3. Scion TV
  4. Hummer H2
  5. Scion XB
  6. Mercedes-Benz CLS AMG
  7. Acura Integra
  8. Pontiac Grand Prix
  9. Mercedes-Benz CLK AMG
  10. Volkswagen GTI

Want to reduce your chances of getting caught? Buy an SUV, minivan or other type of family sedan. These types of “cautious” vehicles, likely to be carrying our most precious cargo,  tend to be left alone, more often than not, where speeding is a factor.
