Over the past few weeks, I’ve logged a ton of hours on both Craigslist and eBay. My oldest child is less than two weeks away from his sixteenth birthday, so we’ve been looking for a car so my son will have something to drive.

It just so happens we’ve been looking for classic Mopar iron for that first car. So I’ve spent hour after hour looking at Chryslers, Dodges, Plymouths and even a few Jeeps on eBay.

Since I don’t really employ any filtering, by choice – I slog through the entire make listings on purpose. Worth a couple of extra minutes, I think. You never know when you’re going to find something really cool that may fall outside of what you think you want, and there’s always the chance that you may just stumble across a real gem.

One of the Chryslers currently for sale on eBay is the 2005 Chrysler 300C pictured above. It’s notable because the original owner, or lessee, in this case was none other than President Barack Obama.

If you’d like to make a bid of your own, you can do so from the auction itself. But we’ll warn you – the seller has placed an astronomical one million dollar starting bid on the 300.

$1,000,000.00 for a 2005 Chrysler 300C.

The Chrysler 300C, with its 5.7L HEMI is a very cool car. And knowing that it was once Barack Obama’s daily driver does have a certain je ne sais quoi to it. But a million dollars worth?

No. We don’t think so.
