What is “velocitizing?”

Velocitizing is when you begin to feel that you are going slower than your actual speed. This is most common when you are on interstates for a length of time, especially if you are using cruise control, and thus remaining at a constant speed. This is dangerous because you if you think you are going slower than you really are; you are less likely to brake in a timely manner when the situation demands. You can avoid this sensation by varying your speed slightly when you are on the highway or interstate.
