What is the speed limit on unmarked roads in Alabama?

Alabama has a basic speed law that says you should not drive a vehicle faster than is reasonable under the existing conditions. You should always take the condition of the road, the weather, and your vehicle into consideration when determining a safe speed. The maximum allowed speed limits are:
• Urban – 10 mph
• Unpaved roads – 35mph
• County paved road – 45 mph
• Other locations – 55 mph

Alabama advises that you slow down when you are approaching railroad crossings, hills and curves.
