I heard the road test examiner in North Dakota would be inspecting my car; what are they looking for?
Whenever you go to take your road test in North Dakota, the examiner will check to make sure that your car is safe. That’s the main purpose of the inspection. It isn’t uncommon to hear about road test examiners being injured or killed when a novice driver made a mistake, so safety is very important to them. In North Dakota, they’re looking for:
• Brakes
• Headlights: high and low beam
• Brake lights and taillights
• Turn signals
• A leak-free exhaust system
• A horn clearly audible for 200 feet
• Seat belts
• Mirrors that allow you to see the road 200 feet behind you
• A windshield and windows made of safety glass
• Windshield wipers
