How old do I have to be to get a learners permit in Missouri?
Missouri, like most states, has a Graduated Driver License (GDL) program in place. This program is designed to gradually introduce driving to the novice driver. The first step to the GDL program is the instruction permit. To get this permit you must pass the vision, road sign, and written tests. You must be at least 15 years old to get the instruction permit. You need to hold the permit for at least 182 days before you can apply for your intermediate license.
