Does Kansas require vehicle inspections?
Some states require that you have your vehicle inspected either before you register it, or shortly thereafter. These inspections are usually looking for two different things. The first type of inspection is a safety inspection, which seeks to determine if your vehicle is safe for the road. The second type of inspection is to determine if your vehicle is producing too much air pollution. Currently, Kansas doesn’t require either type of inspection. In fact, the only type of inspection required is a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) inspection if you are bringing in a vehicle from outside the state.
