Will the Ford MyKey technology lower car insurance costs?
Ford MyKey allows parents to set certain limits on the car, making it less likely that a teen driver will be able to engage in unsafe activities. It is a recent technology and has only recently been introduced in the U.S. At this point, it is hard to say if having a Ford equipped with MyKey will make much of a difference on your car insurance. The best way to find out is to talk to your insurance agent. They may not even know at this point if it will make a difference. They’ll probably need some time to evaluate the impact, if any, that the technology has on driver safety.
