Does Washington, D.C. require collision auto insurance?

Just about every state requires that motorists carry certain types and levels of car insurance. The most common type of car insurance required is liability insurance. For many states, this is the only type of insurance they require. Washington, D.C. requires liability, but it also requires that you carry Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury and Property Damage coverage. Beyond this, they do not require that you carry other types of car insurance, so collision is not required by Washington, D.C.
