Scientists have found that those drivers who are parents are generally better drivers. They drive more cautiously, even when children aren’t in the car. However, those parents with children arguing in the back seat will see their driving skills degrade a bit. According to Post Office Car Insurance in the UK, 20 percent of parents find it harder to concentrate while driving if they have children between the ages of four and seven. Only eight percent say they are never distracted. Kids talking made up 58 percent of the distractions. Most parents, 64 percent, found it difficult to concentrate if their children were arguing.
