Who has better car insurance, Amica or USAA?

Amica started in 1907, focusing on preferred-risk. While originally focused on auto insurance they’ve expanded into homeowners, marine, and umbrella policies. It is a mutual insurance company, which means that the policyholders, not the stockholders own the company. USAA or the United Services Automobile Association was started in 1922 by Army officers who wanted to focus on insuring military families. Amica was number one in J.D. Power and Associates ranking of customer satisfaction not only this year, but the last 12 years as well. USAA outscored Amica in customer service and earned five stars in all of J.D. Powers and Associates categories. They’re both great companies, but if you aren’t in the military or a family member of someone in the military, USAA won’t be for you.
