If I move to another state, can I remain on my parent’s insurance?

In general, no. An exception might be if you were a college student away at school on a temporary absence. The company might rerate the cost of your vehicle, though, based on where you are living.

If you are on your own, you will have to get your own policy whether you are moving one block or 2000 miles away.
