What will happen if you drive on a suspended license in New Jersey?

If you are convicted of driving on a suspended license in New Jersey, you may face the following penalties:

  • 1st conviction:
    • $500 fine
    • Revocation of your registration
  • 2nd conviction
    • $750 fine
    • Jail time up to 5 days
    • Revocation of your registration
  • 3rd conviction
    • $1,000 fine
    • Jail time of 10 days
    • Revocation of your registration

If you were in an accident and your license was suspended you are looking at jail time between 45 and 180 days.
